DISEASE ALERT: THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OF NIGERIA HAS ANNOUNCED THE OUT BREAK OF A DEADLY NEW DISEASE IN NIGERIA

The federal Government of Nigeria, has alerted Nigerians to the out break of a deadly disease Non as Cerebro Spinal Meningitis(CSM), in parts of the states like SOKOTO and ZAMFARA states.
   The federal Government has in a bid to corb the spread of the disease, has deployed Epidemiologist and vaccines into the states to help halt the spread of this New Strain of CSM which is Suspected to be from Niger Republic, to other parts of the Country.
  The Minister Of Health, Prof. Adewole Isaac Said on Thursday in Abuja, said that this New Strain which is from Niger Republic, Requires a different type of Vaccines, as this was not common in Nigeria. He went further to describe this new outbreak as unfortunate and urged all Nigerians to be vigilant and report all cases of Unusual fever to healthcare givers. He also urged Nigerians to avoid over crowding, and when people are coughing the Windows of these health care centres should be opened to prevent the spread of this Deadly disease which has already Claimed 5 Lives In Two States.
    According to the State commissioner of health, 3 victims has died in the Gada General Hospital sokoto.And 2 persons are repoted dead at Wuru Primary Health Centre Zamfara state.
      Please note that; Meningitis is an acute inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and Spinal cord.
Symptoms are:
1. Fever
2. Head ache
3. Neck Stiffness
4. Confusion or altered consciouness.
5. Vomiting.
  Symptoms in Children includes:
1. Poor Feeding.
2. Drowsiness.
3. Irritability. Etc.
